What It Covers

This benefit will cover the cost of home caregivers and nursing or assisted living facilities.

The benefit level can be over $2,000 monthly for a veteran and spouse and over $1000 for the widow of a veteran. The need for services does not have to be because of a service-related injury.

However, the veteran must require assistance in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
