- Cambridge – Caregiver Support Group
The Cambridge Caregiver Support Group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from 1:00– 2:30. This group is open to anyone who is providing care for a loved one. If you are interested in participating in this group or have questions about caregiver support, please call 617-349-6220.
- Cambridge – Citywide Senior Center
Located in Central Square, the Citywide Senior Center serves as a "one stop” multi-service center for seniors living in Cambridge and the surrounding area. The Senior Center offers the following programs and services:
- breakfast and lunch Monday - Saturday

- Tai Chi, Yoga, strength training & dance aerobics.

The Citywide Senior Center’s ethnic and cultural programs include the Asian Elders, the African-American Seniors, the Haitian Seniors, and the Latino Seniors.

- Cambridge – Free Short-Term Parking
Cambridge residents 60 and over or disabled are eligible for free short-term parking in supervised municipal lots. For residents 60+, please call the Council on Aging at 617-349-6220. For residents under age 60 and disabled, please call the Cambridge Commission For Persons with Disabilities at 617-349-4692.
- Cambridge – Healing and Feeling-Support Through Loss
Betsy Simmons, Holistic Health Educator & Interfaith Minister, will facilitate this ongoing monthly group that will meet the 4th Wednesday of the month from 1:30 – 2:30. This will be a safe place to reflect on our losses, including separation from, or death of a loved one, or witnessing the end of a loved one’s life. The group will reflect on and share experiences of grief and loss and explore simple meditations, poetry and rituals to begin healing. self-care, listening and support is the foundation of this group. - Cambridge – Medical Equipment Program
Wheelchairs, walkers, and other medical equipment are available at the Cambridge Council on Aging. Call 617-349-6220 for availability.
- Cambridge – Memory Café
The Cambridge Memory Café meets on the 3rd Friday of the month from 10:00-12:00. For more information or to register, call 617-349-6220. Registration is requested, but not required. Anyone
who requires personal care assistance must be accompanied by a care partner. - Cambridge – North Cambridge Senior Center
The North Cambridge Senior Center offers seniors an exciting schedule of social and recreational activities, including:

- Cambridge – Senior Housing Assistance
Services available to seniors seeking affordable housing, including; advocacy, listings of available housing and help with forms, interviews and landlords. For more information, please call 617-349-6340.
- Cambridge – Senior Taxi Discount
Cambridge residents 60 and over or disabled are eligible for reduced taxi fares. Call the Council on Aging at 617-349-6220 for more information.
- Cambridge – Senior Transportation
Door to Door transportation is available for medical trips locally and to Boston. Transportation for grocery shopping is also available for those unable to use public transportation. Call SCM Transportation, Inc. at 617-625-1191 for reservations. For additional transportation resources and information regarding the Cambridge Council on Aging’s Senior Center Shuttle Bus, call 617-349-6055.
- Cambridge – YMCA Passes
Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Cambridge Council on Aging, the Council on Aging has a limited supply of YMCA membership passes, available to Cambridge residents 60 and older for daily use. For more information call 617-349-6220.
